Fahrenheit 451

In Fahrenheit451, being human meant you had no rights to the government, reading a book meant you were not following protocol. All citizens had to abide by the rules of the society, being different meant you were an outcast. The depiction of humans in this book contrast what humans actually do in present day. Today we can make our own choices without having to follow any dictated or judgmental rules forced by our government. Government today creates equal rights for people to do what they please as in the book your house was burned down.

The book forces the future to present the present as a time of more empathy then shown throughout the book. This means life today should be never over looked or taken advantage of, really because worst things can happen rather then what happens in the book. If the government took the freedom away our society would become fierce. Worldwide violence would spring out because of the change of living. The book shows how their society became formed into believing one thing.
